“Solemn line” dedicated to the opening of the Year of the Volunteer, the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev and the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasyr Al-Farabi

On January 31, 2020, the Academy held a solemn line dedicated to the opening of the Year of the Volunteer and dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev, and the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasyr Al-Farabi. The solemn line opened a series of volunteer actions planned for the current year, as well as events dedicated to the anniversary of two great thinkers and philosophers.

 The purpose of the events that will be held as part of the anniversary year is the research, popularization and preservation of the spiritual heritage of Abay and Al-Farabi.

The ceremonial line was opened with a welcoming speech by the First Vice-Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Nusipzhanova Bibigul Nurgalievna. The audience was presented with a brief excursion into the biography of the great scientist, the “second Aristotle” Abu Nasr Al-Farabi and the immortal poetic lines of the great Abay. From the stage, Abai’s musical works “Kozimnіn Karasi”, “Zhelsіz tүnde zharyk ai” sounded by Mizamova Aygerim, a student of the choreography department and Kapparova Nazerke, a student of the art department, performed musical compositions.
