Dedication to the flight, filled with soul

This could be called a solemn Initiation into the profession of students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

The rector of the Academy, Altynay Asylmuratova, congratulated the students on the day they entered the magical world of ballet. In her words, she noted how holy the scene is. “The scene is a magical, amazing, fairy place. A scene can bring out and highlight your talent. At the same time, it can on the contrary emphasize your shortcomings. The scene does not like lack of culture, illiteracy. It does not forgive a person who does not read books. Therefore, before going on stage, you need to develop not only your body, but also your soul, knowledge” – said Altynay Abduahimovna.

This holiday has of great importance, as small artists for the first time entered the professional stage and took an oath to study and work for the benefit of dance art. Like any solemn event, this event was not without gifts – each dedicated student received a letter with parting words on behalf of the rector of the Academy. Pupils, students and graduates of the Academy, who recognized that being a ballet dancer is a vocation, presented a congratulatory concert to future stars of classical art.

Polonaise-Mazurka was performed to music by L. Minkus in choreography by M. Petipa, “Chacon” to music by A. Vivaldi directed by D. Pimonov, a variation from the ballet “Swan Lake” to music by P. Tchaikovsky in choreography by Y. Grigorovich, variation from the ballet “Fairy of Puppets” to the music of I. Bayero in the choreography of the Legat brothers. The standing ovations and performances of the artists of the Astana Opera and Astana Ballet theaters with the performances of “Korkyt” in choreography by A. Sadykova and “Love Fear Loss in choreography” by R. Amarante were showed. Students of the Academy also presented a fabulous production of “Seriler Saltanaty” to the music of the folklore-ethnographic ensemble “Hassak” in choreography by A. Sadykova and A. Shamshiev.

We wish the young Terpsichore fans success in their studies and creativity!
