“Astana as the center of cross-cultural communications and international cooperation in choreographic art”

International scientific and practical conference “Astana as the Center of Cross-cultural Communications and International Cooperation in Choreographic Art” took place on October 19-20, 2018 in the Kazakh national academy of choreography.

More than 60 people from 25 institutions of the foreign and neighboring countries and Kazakhstan took part in the work of the first international conference in Academy. Reports arrived from Russia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Egypt, Uzbekistan.

“Presence of an image and a top wasp of Astana at the scope of a conference is very important for us as organizers of the event. Choreography art as any another reflects the level of development of collective consciousness of society. If there is an aspiration to a unification in society, dialogue, and understanding — means also the ballet will develop. In this sense, the organization and holding a conference about Astana as the center of cross-cultural communications and international cooperation in choreographic art no other than “touchstone” on readiness for dialogue” — shared the vice rector for scientific work and strategic development Zhanna Tolysbayeva.

Specifics of choreography were reflected in the format of holding a conference which main focus will be taken out on a practical part: master classes, guest lectures, presentations of works. Among the invited guest’s professor, the Honored worker of arts of the Russian Federation, the head of the department ” Ballet Directing” of the conservatory of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov — A.M. Polubentsev; professor of department of choreography of the Russian Academy of theater, the candidate of art criticism — M.E. Valukin; The Honoured actress of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of KAZNAI of T.K. Zhurgenov, the holder of the  “Kurmet” award, the chief ballet master of GATOB of Abay — G.U. Tutkibayeva; the master of art criticism sciences, the public figure, the leading teacher of AHU of A. Seleznyov, the author of the exclusive edition “Professional competence of the ballet artists” — Kapanova G.Zh.

The guest lecture about the directions of the modern art industry development in Latvia, art management development opportunities for students of “Art management” specialty was read by the director of the Latvian college of culture Mrs. Sandra Plota.

The interesting report was made by guests from Estonia – teachers of the Tallinn university the doctor of PhD Hailey Eynasto, the doctor of Ph.D. Sealy Kapper.  Opportunities and the directions of cooperation of two collectives Tallinn university and Kazakh national academy of choreography will be discussed during the conference.

In discussion platforms format there underwent section meetings “Continuous choreographic education: theoretic-methodological aspect and historical experience”; “National choreographic art: questions of history, theory, and practice”; “Current trends in the fields of education, sciences and arts”.
