Academy graduates are joined to the ballet company of “Astana Opera”

In the next theater season, the Astana Opera theater ballet company will be replenished with young artists graduated from the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. After passing the contest, the commission unanimously accepted five graduates. The lucky ones turned out to be Gumar Sultanbek, Aymakova Aziza, Esekenov Chingis, Beysenbayev Ulan and Kaiypbay Islam.

It will not be difficult to get used to the stage of the Astana Opera, because graduates often participated in theater productions under the direction of the Artistic Director, as well as the Academy Rector, Altynai Asylmuratova. Academy graduates have the experience of performing on the big stages not only of Kazakhstan, but also of France, Russia, China and Azerbaijan.

“It’s even hard to believe that I had a unique opportunity to dance on the stage of one of the leading opera and ballet theaters in Kazakhstan,” says Aziza Aimakova. Her predecessor, a graduate of 2017, Adepkhan Shugyla, has already been honored to play leading roles in such ballet performances as “Corsair” and “La Bayadere”.
