We are for a healthy future

The large-scale action ” We are for a healthy future!” on the eve of the World day of fight against AIDS was held on November 28, 2018 with specialists of the Department of health, the center for prevention and control of AIDS of Astana in the Assembly hall of the Academy.
The action was opened by Nurgalina Dinara Sabitovna – a welcoming speech by the epidemiologist of the first category of the Center, who urged young people to take care and take responsibility for their health, timely preventive examinations. She spoke about the ways of transmission and measures to protect against HIV infection, as well as stigma and discrimination.
The interesting part of the action was a quiz of questions and answers. The winners of the quiz received prizes and gifts: travel bags, balls, backpacks. After the quiz, the participants discussed about what the immune system, the ways to protect against infection, people’s rights and much more with experts. During the action, everyone was able to undergo rapid HIV testing and get expert advice. The video ” Say no to drugs! and the launch of red balloons into the sky during the action was the final chord of the event.
The main purpose of this event was the formation of responsibility for their health, timely passage of preventive examinations, as well as raising public awareness of the first signs of tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS infection.
