International music festival of young composers in Uzbekistan

From 7-11 June 2019, Tashkent hosted the first international festival of music by young composers, where 17 composers from Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan presented their new works.

The senior lecturer of the section of concertmaster skills and musical disciplines of the Kazakh national academy of choreography Taskin Zharmukhamet took part in the festival, which aims to develop international cooperation in the field of musical culture, exchange of creative experience and, of course, improve the professional level of young composers of the Republic.

Taskin Zharmukhamet – the Laureate of the International and Republican contests and composer. He is the author of a number of works – symphonic poems, concerts, chamber works, works for orchestras of national instruments, choirs, music for the play “Kyz Zhibek”, musical editor of the Opera “Birzhan and Sara”. He was participated in the deciphering of ancient music, presented at the end of the ancient Kipchak Scriptures “Code kumanikus” (Vocabulary of the Kipchak language).
