Gala ballet “Future and Present of Kazakhstani ballet»

On May 19, 2019, Grand gala ballet “Future and Present of Kazakhstani ballet” was held at the Main hall of the Astana Opera theater, where two generations of artists met– young students of the Kazakh national academy of choreography and experienced soloists of the Astana Opera.

In the first part of the concert, the students of the Kazakh national academy of choreography presented a Suite from A. Khachaturian’s ballet “Gayane” (choreography N. Anisimova in the editorial A. Asylmuratova). In the XXI century the ballet “Gayane” almost disappeared from the stages of theaters, but some numbers of the play in the choreography of Nina Anisimova continue to include in concert programs. The dance Suite, which has not lost its charm, convincingly demonstrated that the original folk-characteristic works in the ballet were created not only in the times of M. Petipa, A. Gorsky and M. Fokin, but also in the Soviet era.

This evening residents and guests of the capital for the first time saw a Suite from this ballet performed by talented students of our Academy. The performance of each artist caused a storm of applause from the audience. They are remembered for their bright personality and excellent data: soft plie, high jump, free step and artistry. This unique joint project of the theater and the Academy made a splash and showed the creative power and potential of the younger generation of Kazakhstani ballet.
