The library workers of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S.Seyfullin, M.Akhmetova, Z.Urazymbetova and M.Nuralina held a seminar “How to correctly use the electronic resources in the education process and research?» in the frame of project realization “DIREKT: Development of trans regional information literacy for lifelong learning and knowledge economics» on 28 November, 2018 for Academy’s teachers, research workers, undergraduates and library workers.
The coaches told about effective ways of using full-text databases “Scopus” and ” Web of Science”.
The participants of the seminar showed how to search and analyze relevant works on scientific topics of interest in the databases “Scopus” and “Web of Science”, to find the most authoritative journals and organizations, to select scientific journals indexed in the database “Scopus” for their own publications, to analyze the citation of publications.
It is extremely difficult to publish an article in a well–known journal. The number of journals is quite limited, articles are strictly and meticulously reviewed, there are requirements for completion and alteration, which the authors perceive very painfully. The editors and reviewers pay special attention to ensure that the data will be correct. Therefore, the list of articles published in peer – reviewed journals is an objective indicator of the researcher’s achievements.
