“Astana as the center of intercultural communications and international cooperation in the field of choreographic art »

October 19-20,2018, Kazakh National Academy of choreography is preparing for International scientific-practical conference “Astana as the center of intercultural communications and international cooperation in the field of choreographic art » as part of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary.

The deadline for submitting applications and publications has expired on August 30th. The Organizing committee has approved applications of teachers, scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates from 10 countries of the near and far abroad (Russia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Egypt, Uzbekistan) and various regions of Kazakhstan (Almaty, Uralsk, Shymkent, Kostanay, Kyzylorda).

Among the invited guests: Professor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Head of the Direction of Ballet Direction at the Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov –Polubentsev Alexander Mikhailovich (St. Petersburg), Professor of the Department of Choreography of the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts, Candidate of Art CriticismValukin Maxim Evgenievich (Moscow), Lecturer of the KazNPU named after Abay, cultural worker of Kazakhstan Klyshbayev Talant Zhambulovich (Almaty), doctor of art history, professor of the Department of Art History and Cultural Studies, State Institution of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan Tulyakhoja Muhabbat Turabovna (Tashkent), director of the Latvian College of Culture Sandra Plota (Riga) , PhD, professor, Member of the editorial board of the Academy of Arts magazine Kriviradeva Bozidara (Sofia).

The conference involves a Roundtable on the topic “Questions of national choreographic art” with the participation of cultural figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the faculty of the academy. The task of the Roundtable is to organize a dialogue on the study of heritage, on new trends in the practice of teaching national dance, in pedagogical theory, on the possibility of introducing the results into scientific circulation.

It is planned to combine traditional breakout sessions with master classes and guest lectures on all days during the conference. The pleasant surprise for our guests will be visiting to the Astana Opera Theater.

All reports are divided into sections:

  • section “Lifelong choreographic education: theoretical and methodological aspect and historical experience”;
  • section “National choreographic art: questions of history, theory and practice”;
  • section “Modern trends in education, science and art”.

Currently, collection of conference materials, which will be offered for reading on the first day of the scientific forum to all guests and participants of the conference is actively working.
